Tributes are being paid to well-known Longford businessman Ken Davis who passed away earlier this week.
The Davis family have long been associated with retail in the town, with Ken's wife Hazel a daughter of Fred and Amy Woods who operated a supermarket in the town for many years on Ballymahon Street.
The supermarket relocated to Townspark in the early 2000s before Ken and his wife retired and handed over the business to their son Roy and his wife Hilary.
The firm recently carried out a major revamp of their SuperValu store in Longford town with the family also celebrating 65 years in retail.
His funeral service takes place on Saturday next in Longford town before cremation in Cavan.
