Fianna Fáil TD Robert Troy says he's confident people will realise he made a 'genuine error', regarding his property interests, at the forthcoming General Election.
The Westmeath man resigned as a junior minister in 2022 after it emerged he failed to declare all his property interests, on the Dáil register.
The Standards in Public Office Commission is investigating the issue and a hearing was held last month.
Troy was confirmed as a Fianna Fáil candidate for the general election in the Longford-Westmeath constituency last night.
