Roscommon Roads Policing unit is to press charges against the driver of a large flatbed truck and has seized the vehicle, following a traffic stop in the county.
Local Gardaí stopped the large industrial vehicle at a traffic checkpoint in conjunction with the RSA over the weekend.
The operator of the vehicle was found to be a learner who was driving unaccompanied with no L plates on the truck.

The flatbed truck was also found to have no insurance or tax and the tires were determined to be defective on inspection.
The truck was seized by the roads policing unit and the driver will now be taken to court.
