Two Roscommon brothers face an agonising wait to see if they can travel to the US for groundbreaking clinical trials after the Trump administration announced cuts to medical funding.
Twins George and Isaac Naughton were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2012, and thousands of euro has been raised to send them to the US.
However, recent US federal healthcare funding cuts mean their potentially life-changing trip is now on hold.
The boys brother Archie Naughton, who was also diagnosed with the devastating muscle-wasting disease, passed away in 2022 at the age of 16.
