The chair of a local university believes they will need significant additional support in order to meet growing demands for apprenticeships
Josephine Feehily was speaking at an Oireachtas Committee on Education this afternoon at a round table discussion on the third level sector.
The Chair of Technological University of the Shannon Midlands Midwest says the future of technological universities is very bright with thousands of new students applying to studs at TU's next year.
She also believes that the challenge of meeting the demands for providing skills training through apprenticeships will require multiple solutions.
