Leitrim Roads Policing Unit arrested two drivers for being under the influence on New Year's Eve as part of their ongoing Christmas Road Safety Campaign.
The first arrest was a Novice driver, stopped at an checkpoint following a positive test for Cannabis on a DrugWipe test.
The 2nd arrest was made a short time after the first with the motorist testing positive for alcohol.

Leitrim Gardaí are using these arrests to remind motorists to never drive under the influence.
