Two left in Fianna Fáil race in Roscommon-Galway as Keogh withdraws

Councillor John Keogh has withdrawn from the Fianna Fáil selection convention in Roscommon-Galway. His withdrawal now leaves just two candidates in the race as Cllr Paschal Fitzmaurice and Malachy Hand announced last week they will not be contesting.

Senator Eugene Murphy and Dr Martin Daly will now go forward to the convention with Fianna Fáil set to select one candidate. Longford-Westmeath TD Joe Flaherty will chair the selection convention in the Abbey Hotel in Roscommon Town on Thursday night.
