Retail Excellence will reveal tonight who has been crowned the friendliest place in all of Ireland.
Two of the five nominations vying for the top award are here in the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
The AIB Merchant Services Retail Excellence Awards 2022 will be hosted in the Galmont Hotel, Galway this evening.
The awards highlight the retail sector and along with top stores of the year award in different sectors of retail, there is also the accolade on offer for the friendliest place in the country.
The 5 nominations include Ashbourne and Moynalty in Meath, Carrick-on-Shannon in Leitrim, Ennis in Clare and Monaghan town.

The awards ceremony is the first awards event that retail excellence have held in person in the past three years due to the pandemic.
