Two local towns have been selected to take part in a new secondary school transport pilot scheme. Roscommon Town and Athlone have been selected along with Limerick and Shannon. Families in the Kiltoom, Knockcroghery, Lecarrow, Rahara and Ballymurray areas can benefit from the scheme.
The deadline for applying to use the school transport scheme next year is tomorrow, June 7th, with the Department of Education encouraging families who are currently not using school transport to apply.
