Two Longford students hope their award winning Junk Kouture costume can bring a focus on climate change.
Solomon Eduard and Joshua Osabuehien from Cnoc Mhuire in Granard will represent Ireland at the World finals of the major fashion competition in Abu Dhabi this autumn. .
The students have been working on their recycled outfit since September with the help of their teacher Charmaine Hetherington.
The costume is coat of armour against climate change made from an old laundry basket, chip pan, car wipers, and shower mat.
Solomon and Joshua will appear on a special television programme this Thursday at 7pm on RTE 2.
Joshua says they are looking forward to modelling the outfit again in the Middle East.
