Two men charged following discovery of cocaine and cannabis in Athlone

Two men are due in court today following a drugs seizure in Athlone.

Cannabis and cocaine with a combined value of up to €36,000 was seized following the search of properties in the Willow Park and Shannon Weir areas of the town on Tuesday.

The men were arrested and questioned at Athlone Garda Station before being charged with drugs offences on Tuesday evening. They are due to appear at Mullingar District Court this morning.
