Two Shannonside Oireachtas members have confirmed that they will not be taking the new pay rise on its way.
TDs are to get a pay rise worth over €1000 a few days after the Budget next week.
Deputies will be paid a 1 per cent increase on October 1st, as part of the Building Momentum pay deal.
It means the basic TD salary will go up to over €102,000.
Seanad members are also set for a raise but speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, Senator Eugene Murphy confirmed he will not be accepting the money
"In my own situation I won't be taking it and I haven't taken the last 2 pay increases. I won't judge the people who do, it's just my decision".
TD Marian Harkin also confirmed she will not accept the increase.
"We've got some increases since I was elected and I didn't take them. I won't be taking this one either".
