Two teenagers have been arrested by Gardaí investigating the discovery of a Longford Town native with serious injuries in Mullingar last weekend. The man in his 30s was found on Grove Street in Mullingar in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he remains in a critical condition.
Two 17-year-old boys are currently being questioned at a Garda station in the midlands. Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses. Longford Councillor Seamus Butler says it's an awful ordeal for the family:
