Uisce Éireann say they have successfully completed repairs following operational issues at Grange Water Treatment Plant in Co. Roscommon.
Customers in Elphin and Strokestown were left without water supply for large parts of yesterday following the issue at the Water Treatment Plant.
In a statement released today, Uisce Eireann say that normal water supply is returning to customers on the North East Regional Water Supply Scheme this morning.
They also say that as reservoir levels return to normal, customers in Elphin and Strokestown may experience low pressure or supply disruptions over the course of the day.
It may take some time for the supply to be restored fully for customers on higher ground and at the end of the network.
Water levels at outlying reservoirs of the scheme are low and will take a number of hours today to replenish.
This will lead to reduced pressure for customers in Ballyleague, Kilglass, Termonbarry, Knockhall, Rooskey, Kilmore and surrounding areas.
