Ukraine's Ambassador to Ireland is to attend a special event to mark the Ukrainian Day of Independence in Leitrim tomorrow.
The Ukrainian community in Leitrim will be honouring their country's national holiday in the Market Yard, Carrick-on-Shannon tomorrow afternoon from 12 to 3.
Ambassador Gerasko Larysa is to attend the event and meet with refugees displaced from the conflict.
The free community event is organised by the Leitrim Volunteer centre alongside Ukrainian residents, Leitrim County Council's Healthy Leitrim Programme and the Leitrim International Community Group.
A variety of Ukrainian food and traditional music will be offered in the market yard, with organisers welcoming all who wish to attend.
