Newly arriving refugees from Ukraine will only be given access to state accommodation for just a few months if a plan by the Government gets Cabinet approval today.
Under the initiative Ukrainian refugees would have to find either a rental property or take up the offer of a home pledged by members of the public.
The plan has been described as unworkable by an organisation working to promote and protect the rights of refugees and migrants.
