Gardaí issued a fixed charge notice after catching a motorist speeding in Roscommon.
The Roscommon Roads Policing Unit were conducting a checkpoint in Lisacul when they saw a driver travelling at 109km/h in a 60km/h zone.
The motorist had no L plates displayed or no qualified driver accompanying them.

Gardaí are continuing to remind all to be mindful on the roads.
