A car in Roscommon has been seized after the Garda Roads Policing Unit found the vehicle being driven by an unaccompanied learner driver.
The driver also had no insurance or NCT.
A child was found to be travelling unsecured in the car.
Gardai say court proceedings will follow.
Meanwhile figures released from yesterdays, National Slow Down Day a motorist detected travelling at 92 kilometres an hour in a 60 kilometre speed zone.
The detection was made on the N4 at Drishogue, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon.
