June saw a significate rise in the number of people unemployed in the Shannonside region.
Over 5,000 people were on the Live Register in this region last month with increases recorded in all three counties.
An additional two hundred people signed on for some form of unemployment assistance last month compared to May in County Leitrim.
The county's total unemployment figure according to the live register is now 1,567 - up 226 in the space of a month.
The figure represents a rise of 130 people unemployed in the county year-on-year.
There have been previous increases in unemployment figures between May and June in the last three years in Leitrim, - but this represents the most significant rise in several months.
In Longford, 76 additional people were added to the Live Register last month - with the county's total unemployment figure at 2188.
Examining figures year to year, the county's unemployment total has risen by a total of 16 since June of 2021.
In Roscommon, 138 additional people were added to the Live Register last month - bringing its total to 2065 and it's the first time since September 2020 that over 2,000 people are on the Live Register in the county.
Year on year an additional 277 people are on the Live Register compared to June 2021.
Overall, 5820 are unemployed in the Shannonside region.
