Up to a dozen businesses have been damaged in a massive fire in Longford town.
Gardaí said the blaze broke out at a local business at Grafton Court in the town shortly before 1:30 AM.
Residents in the overhead apartments were safely evacuated and the fire was brought under control by local fire services.
No injuries have been reported.
The scene is currently preserved for forensic and technical examination.
Hazel Robinson from Hungry Horse Outside, who have a charity shop beside the fire in Hibernian Court, explained that most businesses along the street seem to have been affected:
