Sligo University Hospital has announced the launch of upgraded paediatric facilities.
The upgrade at the Paediatric Outpatients and Physiotherapy Departments is aimed at providing a more relaxing environment for younger patients.
The Paediatric waiting area has been re-designed with support from NMPDU Innovation funding and now features a large marine-themed mural, toys, activity boards, and distractions for children.
The Paediatric Physiotherapy Department has also undergone a renovation with the installation of a new overhead mobile, relaxing music and a light projector for the ceiling.
These additions were made possible thanks to a generous donation from a local family whose daughter, Maisie, attends the Physiotherapy Department for treatment.
