Motorists in the Mohill area are being warned that Upper Main Street in the town is closed to all traffic this morning.
Leitrim county council says the closure is due to a dangerous building issue.
It's understood that some parts of the façade of a former pub on the street fell onto the footpath yesterday afternoon.
The immediate area is now sealed off.
Traffic wishing to access Mohill from the N4 will be diverted to the Dromod roundabout.
