A special hawthorn tree planted as part of Leitrim Pride earlier this month has been taken from it's site in Drumshanbo.
The planting was a joint Leitrim Pride and Leitrim Hawthorn Project initiative that saw the sapling planted at the Mayflower in the town.
The tree was discovered to be missing yesterday, with members of the local LGBTQ+ community condemning the vandalism.
The Leitrim Pride Committee are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
