A Roscommon County Councilor has said that verge trimming needs to take place throughout the county to address concerns for the safety of road users.
Cllr. John Naughten says a lot of the verges on the local road network where junctions are seriously overgrown with vegetation and are in urgent need of attention to ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.
He is raising the issue to request that the Council make adequate provision for verge trimming throughout the county over the coming months,
Cllr. Naughten says he will raise this road safety issue at the next meeting of Roscommon County Council.
