Verona Murphy has taken her seat as the first female Ceann Comhairle.
The Independent TD was elected on the first day of the 34th Dail.
Meanwhile, a Sligo-Leitrim TD is hopeful office space issues facing his team at Leinster House will be fixed quickly.

Eamon Scanlon took the third seat for Fianna Fail in the constituency in last month's election, having previously lost his seat in 2020.
Deputy Scanlon says that an issue has arisen with office space for the party.
