It's 100 years ago today that county Leitrim suffered the greatest loss of life in the War of Independence.
Six IRA officers of the Leitrim Brigade were killed, when the local Flying Column was ambushed by members of the RIC Auxiliary Division at Selton Hill.
A number of events are planned to mark the occasion, including a mass this evening from St Mary's Church, Aughnasheelan, which will be live-streamed.
A book on the ambush has been written by local historian Padraig Leydon, which will be launched online on Sunday, with a centenary production remembering the event to also be streamed live on Sunday evening.
