Councillor Anthony Waldron says he's seriously considering running in the general election in Roscommon-Galway.
The Ballintubber man kept his seat in the local elections in June in the mid-Roscommon area.
The Independent recently organised a protest rally against rural crime in Castlerea, after several burglaries in the county.

And he says he's thinking about running in the forthcoming general election.
