A walk in Covid 19 testing centre is opening this morning at the Hyde Centre in Roscommon town.
It follows a relatively high number of positive results in the community, which recorded 121 new cases in the two weeks up until May 12th.
The centre will open from 11am to 7pm and anyone can attend, including people with symptoms, due to the cyber attack last week has affected the system for GP referrals.
People who have symptoms are asked to inform staff and they will be prioritised; everyone is asked to bring photo ID and have a mobile number.
While it is for people over 16, children if accompanied by an adult can attend.
Breda Crehan Roache Chief Officer of Community Heathcare West says together with the centre in Castlerea, there are options for anyone in the catchment to get a test.
