Well known Longford based chef Gary O' Hanlon is admitting to be a little concerned about a new wildlife visitor to his home.
The chef says he first became aware of a pine marten which he has named "Mr Jingles" when the animal seemingly became trapped inside one of the bins when the lid froze shut on a particularly cold night.
Gary O' Hanlon says he was very surprised to see the bin moving and the lid eventually being opened by the brown furry creature inside.
He says he's seen the pine marten on several occasions since, and is a bit concerned about the animal possibly going into the house.
Gary says he has been in contact with the National Parks and Wildlife Service asking for advice on the matter:

Mr. Jingles is back.... Makings of leftover Pork Burrito, Beef Stroganoff and Lamb Boulangere in there. I'll never get rid of him. Jaysus. 🦦🦝🐾🐾🐾 (no pine marten emoji exists) pic.twitter.com/1r1mrgcGgw

Sunday night at around 3am I heard a racket outside. Was convinced someone was outside so I took a gander. Could see nothing but then bang, my bin started moving. The lid was frozen shut then it shot open and this mad yoke jumped out. I caught him up close last night @npwsBioData pic.twitter.com/p0TVGiVZak
