A Roscommon mother is appealing for good wishes and prayers for her seriously ill son in hospital.
Paula Naughton has issued a heartfelt plea for people to keep her son Archie in their thoughts as he struggles with a terminal illness.
The teenager, along with his brothers George and Isaac, suffer from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which has no cure.
The family has gained international support for their efforts to build a specially adapted home for the boys through the 'Join Our Boys ' Charity.
After 6 weeks of being so unwell our beautiful boy is smiling again. He is not out of the woods yet so please, please continue to Archie in your prayers/thoughts. We are incredibly grateful to the medical & nursing staff that have got him this far. Such a scary time for him 💔 pic.twitter.com/EbvbFb4J9Q

Pls RT. Archie is in heart failure. Right now Archie's biggest hope remains the same; the chance for some kind of treatment that might slow down this rapid catastrophic terminal disease. Please donate £5; €5 or $5 to our Research & Development Fund https://t.co/83kA4pPbZx pic.twitter.com/SyO2EI9sRm

In a message on Facebook this morning, Paula says any positive energy people can give to the family would be very much appreciated :
"Archie is our rock and we need him better. So thanks to you and thanks to the doctor and nurses, and all the support staff at Portiuncula and University College Hospital Galway. Now Archie is in the Mater Hospital and we just hope that can do something to help him. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and in your hearts, he's very very precious.
