Uisce Éireann is restricting water supply in south Leitrim tonight.
It's after an increase in water usage by customers supplied by the Carrick-on-Shannon Water Treatment Plant.
Uisce Eireann says reservoir levels are low across the South Leitrim Regional Water Supply Scheme as a result.
The restrictions will be in place from 9pm tonight until 8am tomorrow morning to allow local reservoir levels recharge.
Customers in the following areas may experience outages or reduced pressure during these times: Drumshanbo, Leitrim Village, Newtowngore, Ballinamore, Fenagh and surrounding areas.
Uisce Éireann’s Kevin Love said: "We understand the inconvenience that restrictions cause, but they are necessary if we are to ensure we have a daytime supply for all our customers.
“The majority of customers should have adequate storage in their attic tanks to provide for essential uses such as flushing toilets for the duration of this restriction. However, customers can help conserve water by not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and postponing using dishwashers and washing machines where possible."
