The future for the Shannonside villages of Clondra and Tarmonbarry is looking very bright.
That's according to the Western Regional Manager with Waterways Ireland, Eanna Rowe.
He was commenting on a survey which has been commissioned by the agency to examine potential for enhanced tourism facilities.
A masterplan for the villages will be drafted in the coming months and proposals are likely to involve increased accommodation, tourism experiences, and food businesses.
