Weather conditions have forced the postponement of the Roscommon Ploughing Championship until next month.
It follows a Roscommon Ploughing Championship Committee meeting last night to decide whether to hold this weekend's event.
The committee have now decided to hold the event on the farm of Martin Mc Dermott in Hollywell, Derrane, on Sunday, April 30th.
Secretary Patrick Lambert has said the decision to postpone was due to road conditions as well as health and safety concerns.
'We always have to consider the local road network and health and safety concerns as well .
I suppose our concern was to have cars coming out onto the roads and bringing any type of muck or clay or anything like that is also a concern of ours.
I suppose out of the interest of those competing as well it wouldn't be fair to run the competition and event on the type of weather we currently have.'
