Snow and sleet is forecast for parts of the north and west of the country this week.
Met Eireann has issued a winter weather advisory for the entire country as an Arctic airmass is due.
Furthers warnings are expected as temperatures fall below zero from tomorrow night.
Head of Forecasting at Met Eireann, Evelyn Cusack, says it'll be very cold from the middle of the week:
Just normally cold today and tomorrow.
Then on Wednesday night an actual cold front going to move down over Ireland.
Bringing down hail, sleet and snow showers to Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.
Some showers are also expected to get into Conaught and down the country too.
