Leitrim County Council is being urged to tackle the so-called blights of weeds in towns and villages around Ballinamore.
Fine Gael councillor Enda McGloin says they're a big drawback when it comes to attracting tourism and investment.
At a Ballinamore Municipal District meeting this week, he called for measures to be taken next year to address the problem.

Councillor McGloin says he was happy with the council's response.
