Well-known and popular businessman Dessie McLoughlin, from Boyle, Co Roscommon, has died suddenly in the US.
He passed away at the age of 61 while holidaying in San Francisco.
He was the founder of Trojan IT, which is a significant employer in Boyle.
He was also a founding director of Shannonside Radio.
Mr McLoughlin was also a keen sports enthusiast and won a Connacht Minor GAA Football Championship medal with Roscommon, and was also a community activist in Boyle.
He lived in the historic Frybrook House in Boyle for a considerable period before selling it several years ago.
