The Roscommon man who died in a fatal road traffic collision earlier this week, will be laid to rest this morning.
Popular Castlerea man, Tommy Bruen, died after he was struck by a vehicle on the R337 near Castlerea shortly after 6 o'clock on Monday evening.
Mr Bruen, who was in his 80s, was a well-known businessman in Castlerea and a member of a number of local clubs.
He ran a bicycle shop and filling station in the town for many years.
He is survived by his son Dara, daughters Grainne and Caolinn, extended family and wide circle of friends.
Mr Bruen will be laid to rest following funeral mass at St Patrick's Church, Castlerea at 11 o'clock.
