Well known Roscommon Doctor and former Olympic rower Martin Feeley has passed away at the age of 73. Dr. Feeley represented Ireland in men's coxless four event at the 1976 Summer Olympics. The former vascular surgeon came to national attention in 2020 when he spoke out against the Government's Covid Road Map.
The Lecarrow native was forced to resign his position as the Clinical Director of the Midlands Hospital Group after he criticised restrictions being imposed by the Government to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Dr. Feeley passed away yesterday, with funeral arrangements due to be announced later.
