A well known historical site in Roscommon is to reopen to the public to mark this year's Heritage Week.
The Office of Public Works is welcoming visitors to view the newly-renovated South-West Tower of Roscommon Castle.
The tour is accompanied by guides and informative displays to reveal the history of the site.
The top storey of the tower have been reconstructed to facilitate a stairway, which will enable visitors to view the surrounding landscape and the remains of the 14th century fortified house.
The tour is open to the public from 10 am to 5pm.
