Well-known timber manufacturer seek planning permission for new facilities

A well known local company is seeking planning permission for a significant staff welfare facility at its Longford base. Glennon Brothers Timber was founded over 100 years ago and is now considered a major industry player in the provision of timber products.

The company is seeking the works at their Longford plant off the Dublin Road. Plans include the construction of a new timber clad welfare building containing lunch room, locker rooms and toilet facilities. County planners will decide on the case in October.
