The Western Development Commission has announced the appointment of Allan Mulrooney as its interim Chief Executive.
It follows the departure of Tomás Ó Síocháin who takes up CEO of Údarás na Gaeltachta following four years at the Ballaghaderreen based organisation.
Mr Mulrooney currently holds the role of Head of Communications and Atlantic Economic Corridor Development having joined the management team in 2019.

Tomas O Siochain says the Sligo native brings a wealth of experience to the role and has excellent working relationships with key regional and national stakeholders in the regional development sector.
