The family of a Roscommon based engineer currently imprisoned in Iraq, are extremely concerned over his health.
Robert Pether, a talented engineer originally from Sydney, Australia, but lives in Elphin with his wife and children, was arrested last month in Iraq's capital city of Baghdad as he was completing a work contract.
According to his wife, he's been held without charge in what is being described as a dispute between his employer and their client.
The Elphin resident has been in custody for over a month, with the Australian Government engaging with Iraqi authorities on the issue.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound news, Robert's wife Desree says he's suffering from worrying heath issues and hasn't yet been examined by medical staff.
