Athlone Lotto players are being urged to check their Euromillions tickets following a top prize win of 500,000 euro in the town in last night's draw.
The winning ticket was sold on the day of the draw at Tuthill's newsagents in the Golden Island Shopping Centre, Athlone.
Manager of the store, Joe Callinan was delighted to get the call that his store sold the winning ticket. He says the winner will be having a very good Christmas with their windfall of cash

The Westmeath ticketholder is advised to sign the back of their winning ticket and to keep it safe while they make contact with the national lottery prize claims.
