Wolfe Tones were crowned Longford senior hurling champions for the seventh time in eight years following a 3-10 to 1-6 win over Longford Slashers at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
A superior second half display saw Wolfe Tones emerge victorious having trailed by 1-4 to five points at the interval with Paul Leonard scoring the first goal of the game.
18 minutes into the second half, Wolfe Tones opened up a six point gap leading by 2-9 to 1-6 as Maitiu O'Donohoe and Evan Tully both found the net.
An excellent goal from Daniel Connell in injury time put the icing on the cake for Wolfe Tones as they won convincingly in the end.
