A second person has been arrested following a serious stabbing incident in Longford town.
It's understand a man in his 20's was assaulted on Main Street shortly after 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
He was taken to Mullingar Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Another man in his 20's was arrested in relation to the incident and is being questioned by Gardai at Granard Garda Station.
A woman in her 20s was also arrested in connection with this incident yesterday evening.
She is currently detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Roscommon Garda Station.
