A woman who had to abandon her home at Lough Funshinagh due to rising water levels says there is no way the family will ever return.
Rising floodwaters at the turlough in south Roscommon left Mary Lyons O 'Meara with no choice but to abandon her home where her family has lived for decades.
A second family, the Beatties, also left their homes this week in the Rahara/Ballagh area as the water levels threaten to breach records set during previous floods in 2016.
