Work on the redevelopment of the site of the former Royal hotel in Boyle will get underway in the new year.
Roscommon County Council have signed contracts with Elliott Properties Limited, a family-owned construction contractor, based in Co. Cavan.
Work on the 2 million euro project will begin in mid-January, and will involve the redevelopment of the old Royal Hotel site
into a landing space for start-up businesses and exhibition space.
It will also include the development of a riverside promenade and civic space.
