Mohill's Upper Main Street could remain closed to traffic for the next month due to structural concerns over a derelict pub in the town.
Following the collapse of debris from the building last week, Leitrim County Council cordened off the road due to safety concerns.
Parts of the façade of a former pub on the street fell onto the footpath on Wednesday night of last week.
The site has been examined by engineers from both the council and the building owner over the course of the last 4 days.
The owner of the site is due to present a plan of action to the local authority today, which will see the vacant pub braced and secured, or demolished.
At this morning's meeting of the Carrick on Shannon Municipal District, Councillors heard that any works will take a minimum of 3 weeks in the best-case scenario.
