A joint initiative tackling anti social behaviour and littering at Ballymahon playground is to get underway this month.
Longford County Council, Gardaí and the local CE scheme have agreed to work to tackle issues at the site in the town.
Anti-social behaviour, dumping and bottle breaking have been reported at the playground leading to concern among parents.

Meanwhile, the local Community Employment Scheme has confirmed that they will attend the playground each morning to clean any dangerous material.
