Flooding and dangerous driving conditions are expected across parts of the country today.
A 24-hour status orange rain warning for Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford came into effect at 4 o'clock this morning.
Cork, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Galway are under a yellow rain alert until 6pm, while eight other counties, including Longford and Roscommon, have the same warning until 4 am tomorrow.
